Last week...

my good friend Diane Maxwell published her memoir about becoming an expat in Panama in 2012. The memoir takes readers through her rather rocky time acclimating into the Panama expat world. It chronicles her life from the moment of arrival until present day. I got the book on my Kindle Unlimited as soon as it became available and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It was a page turner for me, and I could hardly put it down. I found it to be a haunting contrast to my own book. There are lessons in both for would be expatriates. This week's fan photos...

...are my good friends, Barbie and John. They live in Panama, but we caught up with them in Florida where they are waiting out the lifting of restrictions in Panama.  We met them for a great lunch on our travel between Punta Gorda and Orange Beach. We miss them terribly in Panama and hope for their return soon.
