2 Retire In Panama?                                           NEWSLETTER

            May 3, 2021  Volume 32

We never get tired...

...of our awesome sunsets. I find myself capturing pictures of them often. This photo was taken last week from our balcony. Seasons are changing here in Panama and we are going from windy to rainy season. Personally, I like the rainy season the best. We are in the dry arc here on the Pacific Coast and our rain rarely last more than a few minutes a day. The rain is so important to the rain forests around us and for the operation of the Panama Canal.

I am excited...

...to be having an interview with Gerry D on the Breakfast Show at Cool FM 89.3 this Wednesday (May 5). The station is at www.pbcpanama.com. For those of you with Cable Onda (Tigo), the station broadcasts in real time at channel 866. Gerry's show is in English Monday to Friday from 6am-10am. I am scheduled for 9:30 central time. I hope you will put it on your calendar. Gerry's listeners tune in from all over the world by the LISTEN LIVE button on the website. The following day (May 6th), I have been invited to do a book signing at Gold Coast Brewery here in Coronado, Panama. The pub will be offering drink and appetizer specials during the signing, which will be 1pm to 5pm. I will have books available for $12 which includes shipping to Panama. I will also be giving away free bookmarks. Please plan to stop by and visit with Jen and I, get a book signed, grab a free bookmark, and enjoy some great specials in one of our favorite Coronado restaurants.

Do not forget...

...that Mother's Day in the United States is next Sunday. I did a little shopping for you and found a great deal on Pandora at Amazon. Click here to check out a great deal for mom.

Coronado Bible Church...

...will continue to have in person Sunday services at 8:30am and 10:30am as we move forward in the new normal. The health protocols will be in place at the church, and everyone is asked to  register in advance for the worship services. The registration link will give times and describe the health protocols and what must be done by attendees who intend to be with us in person. Join us in person, by YouTube, or on Facebook.

One of the things...

...that has our attention is the weekend aqua bike classes at the main pool of the Coronado Luxury Suites. Several of the last few Saturdays we have made it down to the pool for this awesome class.  Jen and Lyn are big fans of the class. I grabbed these pictures.

Last Thursday...

...was our monthly writers' workshop at Tranquilo Retreat. This month's workshop was bittersweet as we wished Norma a fond farewell. We were fortunate to welcome a couple of new writers who were excited to be a part of this awesome experience. The picture below is just a few of the participants this month. Pictured are from left Lyndi Allison (facilitator), Norma Jordan-Backe, author Jo Ann Burrill, myself, and Lyn Gilbert.

This week's fan photo...

...is our daughter Kara and granddaughter Lucy. Lucy is sporting the bird mask. They are both having birthdays this week. Happy Birthday from Panama kids. We love you.

I am running out of original fan photos, so if you are willing, and can share a fan photo with me it would be greatly appreciated. It will appear in an upcoming newsletter.

It would also mean a lot to me if those of you who haven't, would go to Amazon or Goodreads and leave a review. This makes my book easier for people to find.

You can get a copy of my book by clicking the link here, or the link on the blog. It is exclusively available on Amazon or Kindle. Kindle Unlimited subscribers read it free.

Blessings from paradise,
