2 Retire In Panama?                                           NEWSLETTER

            July 12, 2021  Volume 41

My new best friend...

...Roberto has been working tirelessly to fix the problems that caused a gap in my newsletter delivery. Last week's newsletter delivered on Thursday to everyone. This week's newsletter is going as it is supposed to (overnight on Monday morning). If you are reading it, we were successful. If you read my blog you will notice some changes. Roberto has been fixing some things that were not working right and most of the advertising is gone. He is still on the job, and we are going to make some improvements across the whole platform.

I am going to continue to share some great pictures in my header that came from the internet. I do not know who to credit with these photos. I believe that they are there for all to enjoy and I hope you enjoy them over the next few weeks.

Jen and I...

...have been getting back to normal. She continues to work from home a bit electronically. I have been working on all this website stuff and preparing a new blog post which should be available by now. I have also been working on a new book. This one may not ever be available to the general public. The kids got me a 1-year subscription to Story Worth for Father's Day. They are providing weekly prompts for the next year which will go into a book for the family at the end. I am sure that they will be asking some tough questions. I came back from the states already 3 weeks behind, so I am catching up. If this is something that interests you for yourself, or for a gift, click the link here to go to their site. You will get $10 off and I will get a free copy of my Story Worth book.

It is rainy season...

...here in Panama. We have been enjoying a bit of rain almost every day since returning. That is right; I said enjoying the rain. Here in Coronado, we rarely have an all-day soaker. This area gets much less rain than the rest of the country. They call it the dry arc for this long stretch of the Pacific coast. Often Jen and I enjoy watching the weather in the mountains to the north and never see a drop of rain here. We do, however get the benefit of the rain from the runoff. The landscape all around us is lush and green.

Coronado Bible Church...

...will continue to have in person Sunday services at 8:30am and 10:30am as we move forward in the new normal. The health protocols will be in place at the church, and everyone is asked to  register in advance for the worship services. The registration link will give times and describe the health protocols and what must be done by attendees who intend to be with us in person. Join us in person, by YouTube, or on Facebook

One recent thing that regular attendees are noticing is that I am participating with the Praise Team during Sunday Services. I had to step out of my comfort zone to agree to do this. It has been something that I have been enjoying and will continue as long as they let me.

This week's fan photo...

...is Paul and Nancy. They are expats who we have enjoyed getting to know. They have a second home and family in Port Charlotte Florida near our new condo. Nancy has a sister who lives in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area where Jen and I lived prior to retiring in Panama. The world just keeps getting smaller and smaller. I am certain that Nancy's sister and I crossed paths years ago. She is a loan officer at a credit union where we did a lot of business. I was happy to sign their copy of my book and can do the same for you. I have a few copies left that I had shipped to Panama. Including the shipping cost these paperback books will cost $12. Let me know if you are in Panama and would like a copy.

I love getting original fan photos, so if you are willing, and can share a fan photo with me it would be greatly appreciated. It will appear in an upcoming newsletter.

It would also mean a lot to me if those of you who haven't, would go to Amazon or Goodreads and leave a review. This makes my book easier for people to find.

You can get a copy of my book by clicking the link here, or the link on the blog. It is exclusively available on Amazon or Kindle. Kindle Unlimited subscribers read it free.

Blessings from paradise,
